Inianapolis Colts at Baltimore Ravens

As the pendelum swings the razor-sharp executioner’s blade, Peyton Manning suddenly appears with a full pardon. How many times will we see the Colt’s opponents (and fans) underestimate the Horseshoe.

I would like to start with Indianapolis’s defense which is highly underrated, which should be talked about more than the Baltimore Raven’s line. The Colts D has even been accused of being a malnurtured unit that can’t stop the run.

Defense wins games. The Colts’ rush D ranks 14th, and is allowing only 108.7 yards a game compared to the Raven’s stingy 93.9. I know you’re not believing yet, but just keep reading. In retrospect, the Ravens are allowing 302.8 total yards a game vs. the Colts’ 322.7 yards, similar. The determining factor in this matchup is points allowed. Thus exposing the weaker defense.

The Ravens allow 17.1 versus the Colts 15.8. Indianapolis doesn’t look so weak now, do they? But lets be honest, and admit that the Ravens offense is anemic at best, with no real deep threat. So why would anyone be concerned that the Colts have two rookie corners? (who are playing lights out football by the way). I’m not.

This will probably be a low scoring game, and the determinig factor will be field goals. Indianapolis is 12 for 14 this year with the kick. Then, factor that the Colts are still undefeated. Be a winner like them. Colts on top.
