Newly elected head coach Perry Fewell had this to say on his many problems he’s inheriting from newly ejected coach Dick Jauron, “We are who we are. We have that identity. We’re going to try to give a little spark, but we are who we are.”

What the hell does that mean? That sounds like the same rhetoric former Phoenix Cardinal’s head coach Dennis Green used in his excuse for losing a close game he was supposed to lose anyway. Making excuses for games you’re going to lose? Wow. Way to start off your job, Perry. But at least you had the balls to get rid of starting QB Trent Edwards for stud Ryan Fitzpatrick. An upgrade, if that’s what you want to call it.

I could point out and make several paragraphs of all the data about how Jacksonville is the better team than the Bills, but why bother? (I’m going to anyway). All Garrard has to do tomorrow is not throw interceptions and make sure Jones-Drew drinks plenty of Gatorade.

Hmmm. Let’s see here. Buffalo is ranked 32nd (that means last in the NFL) against the rush. Jones-Drew WILL make up that touchdown he gave away against the Jets; a brilliant play, I might add. Maurice is the main reason the Jags are 6th in rushing and 10th in overall offense, putting in 20 or more points a game. Factor in more if you average out their last few bouts and ignore the Titans game.

It’s a shame Buffalo has offensive weapons on the payroll like T.O. and Lee Evans. (Evans is a fan of Fewell). So that leaves Trent Edwards to blame for why their offense is ranked 30th in the league. He’s had more INTs than touchdowns. Or the offensive line that has allowed 25 sacks on the QB. Not the worst in the league, but hey.

I’m gonna keep this one short, and not bother with injury reports. Unless Fitzpatrick goes all accurate and hits his premium wide receivers, this game is going one way. The cardiac cat’s way. Jags take them down at home………..solid.
