Tomorrow, we have three NFL games on Thursday, because of the Thanksgiving holiday. Traditionally, these
games are played by both Detroit Lions and the Dallas Cowboys either hosting an AFC and an NFC opponent. In 2006, they added another game.

Seems like a good Idea, I guess. There’s nothing else to do on Turkey day but eat and put up with obnoxious relatives. Might as well get the satisfaction of on tap football gratification.

The schedule consist of Green Bay at Detroit (1pm), Oakland at Dallas (4:15pm), and Giants at Denver (8:20pm). Now that’s an overload of football for even the most discerning pigskin gourmet. I might as well review these contests, while we’re at it.

The Packers go to Ford Field, tomorrow, after regulating the up and down San Francisco 49’s in a shootout that should’ve been a blowout. Sure, the Lions won Sunday, but I don’t see them winning this one.  Aaron Rogers actually didn’t get sacked 50 of so times in one game, last week, and had good numbers. He went 32-45 for 344 yards and 2 TDs.  Way to go offensive line, by the way who lead the lead in allowing sacks with 41.  Green Bay takes ‘em down.

Oakland come to Cowboy Stadium high off that monster win vs. the Cincinnati Bengals. In retrospect, the canning of JaMarcus Russell for Bruce Gradkowski now seems Machiavellian. Helping the fact that the Bengals meltdown of 4 turnovers and silly fouls, cemented the upset. Again, the Cowboys are at home, and will have none of the Raider’s foolishness. After tasting Washington’s high powered defense last week, they should have a field day against the men who wear black.

Now Denver at the New York Giants is a game to think about. The G-men just got out of their slump, by busting up a once up and coming Atlanta Falcons, who took it to the max, with overtime action. Then you have the Broncos, who have forgotten how to win, losing 4 straight, including a whipping of epic proportions, vs. the Chargers last Sunday evening. The Giants should edge this one out. Especially, if Tom Coughlin still wants a job next year.
